Are you an experienced Corporate Tax professional looking for a role where you can manage a high-quality portfolio, develop your team and play a genuine part in the growth of an ambitious accountancy firm? We're recruiting for a Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing Tax team in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of corporate tax but also wants client ownership, people management and career progression.

You'll work with a varied portfolio ranging from owner-managed businesses through to large corporate groups, with exposure to compliance, advisory work, R&D, capital allowances and corporate transactions.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients
  • Reviewing and overseeing corporate tax compliance assignments
  • Managing deadlines and ensuring high-quality delivery
  • Providing technical guidance and advice to clients
  • Delegating work and supervising assignments
  • Coaching, supporting and developing junior team members
  • Supporting staff appraisals and wider people matters
  • Monitoring fees and WIP
  • Contributing to business development, marketing and resource planning
  • Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and technical developments
  • Working closely with the wider leadership team to support the continued growth of the department

What are we looking for?

You'll ideally be ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent, with strong experience working within corporate tax and the confidence to manage assignments and deal directly with clients. We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Strong corporate tax compliance experience
  • Experience reviewing and managing tax assignments
  • Excellent technical corporate tax knowledge
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • Experience supervising, coaching or developing others
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach
  • The confidence to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
