Glasgow or Edinburgh | Hybrid Working | Full-Time

Are you an experienced, qualified accountant looking to step into a leadership role where you can influence both clients and people?

We're working exclusively with a highly respected and growing professional services firm that is looking to appoint an Accounts & Business Advisory Manager to join its expanding team in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with people leadership, client relationship management and business development.

The Role

You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients while leading and developing a team, ensuring high-quality service delivery across a broad range of sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of business clients
  • Reviewing statutory accounts and advisory assignments
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients
  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team
  • Managing workflow, budgets and deadlines
  • Supporting business development, tenders and proposals
  • Producing departmental KPIs and improving performance
  • Working closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic objectives

About You

We're keen to speak with qualified accountants who have:

  • ACCA, ICAS, ICAEW or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience
  • Experience managing a client portfolio within practice
  • Strong people management and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
