Wilkin Chapman Rollits is growing; with an abundance of quality work across our Real Estate team, we offer interesting and varied work – from the small jobs to the complex and high value - and the ability to develop and progress your career. We are currently seeking an ambitious NQ Solicitor or Solicitor with up to 5 years PQE to join our esteemed York team. This role offers a unique opportunity to focus on both commercial and agricultural property cases, to engage in diverse and interesting legal matters, and make an impact in collaboration with a team of seasoned professionals. You will be part of a large, firmwide real estate team which has recognised specialist expertise in agricultural law and renewable energy in addition to significant commercial property work.

Your main duties will include:

  • Dealing with commercial freehold sales and purchases, finance and remortgage work and ancillary commercial property matters such as easements or telecommunication leases.
  • Dealing with the acquisition and sale of farms and farmland and ancillary property-based work for agricultural clients.
  • Commercial and agricultural landlord and tenant work.
  • Working as a team with and supporting other fee earners on renewable energy project property work/larger development/higher value or complex commercial property matters.
  • Ensuring matters are professionally and promptly dealt with to the complete satisfaction of the client and full compliance with professional obligations.
  • Building client and industry relationships and assisting with business development.
