We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Learning & Development Assistant to support the delivery of our firmwide learning, development and early careers programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in Learning & Development and HR.

You will play a key role in co-ordinating training activities, supporting apprenticeships and trainee programmes, maintaining learning records and helping to ensure our colleagues have access to high-quality development opportunities.

Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, you will help deliver programmes that support professional competence, career development and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate training courses, workshops and development programmes
  • Manage training bookings, joining instructions, attendance records and evaluations
  • Support the administration of the firm's online learning platform and learning records
  • Assist with the delivery of trainee solicitor, apprenticeship and work experience programmes
  • Monitor completion of mandatory and compliance-based training
  • Produce regular reports on learning activity, attendance and training compliance
  • Maintain accurate records of CPD and professional development activities
  • Liaise with external training providers, educational institutions and professional bodies
  • Support internal training events, leadership programmes and development initiatives
  • Assist with careers fairs, school, college and university engagement activities
  • Prepare training materials, presentations and communications
  • Respond to learning and development enquiries from colleagues across the firm
  • Support the continuous improvement of learning and development processes and resources

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicating with people at all levels
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proactive and keen to learn
  • Comfortable working with systems, data and reporting
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service

Essential Requirements

  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous administration experience within HR, training, education or professional services
  • Experience of learning management systems (LMS)
  • Experience supporting training events or apprenticeship programmes
