We’re seeking an experienced HR advisor to join our team. This is a varied and hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with key stakeholders and leaders to help deliver our people strategy and provide high-quality HR support across the firm. As a trusted advisor, you will guide and coach our people managers through a range of employee relations matters, support leaders in navigating people challenges, and play an active role in key HR activities throughout the employee lifecycle. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide remit, build strong relationships, and make a meaningful impact. Based in our Grimsby office and reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll join a friendly, multi‑functional, and fast‑paced HR team that values collaboration. Travel to our other office locations will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide clear, pragmatic advice and support in line with employment legislation and internal company policies and procedures.
- Handle general HR enquiries, ensuring an efficient and customer focused service delivery.
- Support a wide range of operational HR related activities including employee relations, performance and absence management, employee engagement, and family leave processes.
- Produce and analyse a range of regular HR reports and management information.
- Develop and review HR policies to ensure compliance with legislation and alignment with organisational goals.
- Deliver key HR initiatives across the employee life cycle.
- Contribute to the delivery and effectiveness of several people led projects including wellbeing, values and behaviours and our employee forum.
Skills & Experience
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) with 2 to 3 years generalist HR experience.
- Good understanding of UK employment law.
- Structured and organised, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Able to work with diplomacy and maintain high levels of confidentiality.
- A strong team player but able to work independently in a busy environment.
- Confident IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
