The predicted salary is between 18000 - 25000 £ per year.

This is a 24-month programme and after successful completion you will gain a recognised CILEx qualification and be ready to move into a Paralegal role within the firm. There are opportunities within our Recoveries department in Grimsby to commence in September 2026. As a Paralegal Apprentice, you will provide support on a wide range of cases and contribute to the ongoing growth of a firm that supports its people.

Responsibilities

  • File creation and client care correspondence.
  • Making and receiving telephone calls and dealing with telephone enquiries.
  • Attending meetings and taking notes.
  • Providing regular updates to clients as to the current situation of their case.
  • Drafting documents such as letters, contracts, transfer deeds and leases under supervision.
  • Carrying out legal research.
  • Preparing completion statements, accounts forms, invoices and understanding client ledgers.
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, filing tasks and letter writing.
  • Processing and recording payments.
  • Undertaking preparation of court proceedings and utilising workflows on the case management system, under supervision.
  • Attending and participating in departmental meetings.

Entry requirements

  • 3 A-levels at grade C or above, or equivalent Level 3 qualification
  • 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 4 or above

This role is an excellent first step into a career in law, offering the opportunity to earn while you learn and progress towards qualification as a Chartered Legal Executive or ultimately a Solicitor.
