About the division Ships Service: The people at Wilhelmsen have not just a job. They realise the most innovative ideas while shaping the maritime industry. We provide products and solutions for every conceivable type of vessel. Our Ships Service division includes product brands such as Unitor, Timm Ropes, Unicool refrigerants, and Unitor and Nalfleet marine chemicals. Last year, we supplied products to 27,500 vessels in more than 2,000 ports.

About the location / department: The Customer Service Benelux, Switzerland & UK department is based in Rotterdam, one of the largest and most important ports in the world, making it a crucial department within the organisation. The department acts as the link between the customer and various logistics departments spread around the globe. The team consists of 6 Sales Advisors, each with their own customer portfolio. You will also be part of the Northern European CS & Inside Sales management team.

Who you are: We are looking for an experienced manager. You are able to motivate and coach employees to get the best out of themselves and achieve optimal commercial results. You have an orderly and structured working method and expect the same from your team. Additionally, you enjoy building relationships with our customers and internal stakeholders. Reliability, communication, and customer friendliness are key qualities that contribute to your team's success.

What you will do: In this role, you will lead the Customer Service Benelux, Switzerland & UK team. You will be responsible for all activities related to customer service, proactive follow-up, answering customer inquiries, recognising sales opportunities, handling quotation requests and orders, and the final sale of our Ships Service product portfolio. You will manage, coach, and develop your team to ensure they can execute sales strategies, product campaigns, and promotional actions, ensuring the team meets KPIs in sales growth, order value, response time, and customer satisfaction.

Do you bring this experience and skills?

  • A bachelor's degree (or similar) preferably in a commercial field;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position;
  • Excellent command of English and Dutch, both orally and in writing;
  • Excellent communication skills and an eye for business opportunities;
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues;
  • Experience in the maritime industry is an advantage;
  • Analytical skills and digital literacy to identify opportunities when analysing customer data;
  • Systematic and organised working style to maintain oversight of ongoing processes;
  • A positive mindset and solution-oriented thinking.
