Location: Rotterdam, Hamburg, Lysaker, Piraeus, Dartford | Type: Full-time, Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Tank & Hold Cleaning Expert to strengthen our in-house competence and support our continued growth within the tanker segment. This is a predominantly shore-based, advisory and customer-facing role, combining deep technical expertise with a commercial mindset. The role will act as a key technical authority for advanced tank and hold cleaning, supporting both customers directly and our internal commercial teams. The position is designed for a former seagoing professional who is ready to transition into a land-based consultancy role while remaining closely connected to operations and customers.

What you will be doing:
- Provide technical expertise and consultancy on advanced tank and hold cleaning, primarily within the tanker market.
- Support commercial and business development teams by contributing technical insight during customer engagements, tenders, and solution design.
- Act as a trusted technical representative towards customers, including remote advisory and cleaning consultancy.
- Strengthen our in-house competence to enable deeper penetration of the tanker segment.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to translate operational knowledge into commercially viable solutions.
- Represent the company with credibility and authority during customer discussions, audits, and technical evaluations.
What we are looking for:
- Former chief engineer or captain with substantial experience onboard tankers.
- Proven hands-on experience with tank cleaning, preferably within chemical or product tankers.
- Advanced understanding of tank and hold cleaning methodologies, standards, and operational constraints.
- Commercially oriented, customer-focused, and solution-driven.
- Confident communicator able to work directly with customers and internal teams.
- Previous experience in a consultative, advisory, or cargo-related role is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to support sales-oriented discussions.
- Comfortable operating as a land-based expert while maintaining operational credibility.
- Fluent English.
