Sherburn House is a complex care service operating 24/7, supporting people with profound learning disabilities and complex physical health needs. We currently have 3 lovely ladies and 6 fantastic gentlemen living with us, ranging from 19 to 60 years old.
We’re seeking someone who understands the true power of a fresh, clean environment. Someone who knows that a well‑polished floor and spotless windows can bring comfort and joy to the people who live here.
What You’ll Do
- Clean and sanitise resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and offices according to daily schedules.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as required.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are used safely and stored appropriately.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the management team.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including infection control standards.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards residents, staff, and visitors.
What You’ll Bring
Previous cleaning experience is a plus, but your passion and dedication are what really matter. A keen eye for detail, a caring attitude and a commitment to making a difference, the ability to work independently while being a valued member of a supportive team, and flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends.
Please be aware it is a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity (under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006) to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group such as adults or children. Any successful job offer will be conditional based on pre‑employment checks such as DBS and referencing prior to a start date agreed.
