Role Summary:
We are looking for a proactive full-time Planning Assistant to support the in-house planning team. The role would suit a candidate with one to two years’ work experience after graduating.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the Planning team as required
• Undertake planning due diligence and research
• Review and provide feedback on planning drawings
• Prepare documentation to support planning applications and appeals such as site comparables and heritage statements
• Prepare, submit and negotiate applications and appeals for digital advertising
• Liaise and work with internal departments and external consultants (e.g. planning, highways etc)
• Analyse planning decision notices and provide analysis to the wider business
• Assist in the management of enforcement issues
• Manage and file planning data and information on business systems
• Represent Wildstone at customer, landlord, and local authority meetings, Committee meetings and events where necessary
• Assist with planning reporting
• Keep up to date with relevant planning regulations, policy and legislation
• Undertake CPD and work towards Chartered MRTPI status
• Investigate ways to continually improve processes within the team and business
• Undertake ad hoc planning requests
Experience & Skills Required:
• One to two years’ work experience in planning
• RTPI accredited degree in Planning or related field of study
• Attention to detail
• Multi-tasking
• Record-keeping
• Collaborative working
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
