An historic hub at the heart of the community, the Burrs of Tongue is an iconic building, and home to Alba Bakery. Alba Bakery is a small, considered bakery and café serving excellent coffee, freshly baked goods, and a carefully curated retail offer. Part of Wildland’s wider work in Sutherland, the bakery is rooted in place, designed to feel calm, warm, and genuinely useful for both the local community and those travelling through the north. We are building something simple and long-term, with quality, consistency, and care at its core and are looking to build our team to support this vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily bakery production (bread, pastries, baked goods)
  • Prepare, shape, prove, bake, and finish products consistently
  • Support the rollout and growth of bread production
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
  • Assist with stock control, prep, and production planning
  • Keep the bakery organised, clean, and efficient
  • Work closely with the wider team to support daily operations

Please note early morning starts will be required.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a boutique or commercial bakery environment. You will be clean, organised and methodical in your working patterns, taking pride in producing high quality products. You will be reliable and thrive in a dynamic small team environment.
