We are looking for proactive, engaging and helpful volunteers to fulfil a few different roles around the site to keep the camp looking tip‑top, host our guest‑campers and bring the spirit of camp to our vibrant community. Looking for a varied volunteering role out in an adventurous forest? Do you love being helpful, caring for nature and in the process spreading joy to our community? These could be the volunteering opportunities for you. We are looking for multiple volunteers for each weekend. You can apply to one weekend or as many as you'd like. Please specify your availability in the cover letter section of your application.

What we offer: The opportunity to be part of our fun team, with access to our unique events in a beautiful heritage pine forest near Sevenoaks, Kent.

Activities: During your time off over the three days, you can enjoy incredible drop‑in activities, games, bands, talks, DJs, comedy and more.

Food: We will provide you 1 or 2 meal vouchers per volunteering day, depending on total working hours.

Rest: You will be given space to camp in the crew & artist campsite.

Dates: You will be required to volunteer for up to a total of 16 h across 3‑4 days.

Your responsibilities:

  • Entry: Welcoming campers at the entrance gates. Helping with bags & pitching tents to those in need.
  • Info: Be a helpful human across camp, providing clear information e.g. directions.
  • Night games: Be a helpful presence, handing out materials for our hosts, fetching props etc.
  • Departure: Handing out our group photo goodbye gifts and leaving a positive lasting impression on our campers.
  • Reusable cups: Picking up any discarded reusable cups and putting them in drop zones.
  • Cooking areas: Keep them tidy & clean.
  • Games arena brushup: Confetti cannon clear up.

Host responsibilities and qualifications:

  • Supporting guests on arrival, being the first point of contact.
  • Welcoming and directing guests, helping with bags if necessary.
  • Providing information and responding to inquiries.
  • Managing new and existing bookings.
  • Assisting massage therapists with small tasks.
  • Maintaining the reserved camping/sanctuary areas, ensuring it is tidy, organised and looking Zen.
  • Experience in customer‑facing roles at festivals/outdoor live events.
  • You embody our core values.
  • Problem‑solving skills, a proactive approach and a can‑do attitude.
  • Ability to create connections & bring people together.
  • Well organised, individual eager to be helpful & develop new skills.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate character.
  • Experience working in a customer‑service role.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • DBS check for Camp Kindling.
