About The Role
At WWT, our conservation projects play a vital role in protecting and restoring wetlands, benefiting wildlife, communities and the natural environment. To ensure these projects are delivered effectively and achieve their intended impact, we are seeking a highly organised Senior Administrator (Project Assurance) to support project delivery alongside the smooth operation of our project assurance systems and processes. In this role, you will work closely with the Project Manager (Assurance), Head of Wetland Services and project teams across the Wetland Conservation Directorate to support the tracking, governance and administration of a diverse portfolio of conservation projects. You will be expected to provide high-quality administrative assistance throughout the project lifecycle, help maintain project information and assist the project assurance processes. To do this you will be expected to assist with project documentation (e.g. timesheets, grant claims, procurement, purchase orders and invoicing), meeting coordination and travel arrangements. Working across multiple teams, you will play an important role in ensuring project information is accurate, consistent and accessible, helping colleagues make informed decisions.
About You
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive administrator who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys supporting the successful delivery of projects. You will have significant experience managing multiple priorities, coordinating meetings and activities, and providing high-level administrative support to a range of projects. You will be an excellent communicator with the confidence to build positive working relationships with colleagues, partners, funders, and external organisations at all levels. With strong attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach, you will be able to identify issues, maintain accurate records, and ensure project teams feel supported in their project delivery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, using their initiative to manage competing demands while remaining adaptable to changing priorities. You will have strong Microsoft Office skills, experience working with budgets and financial procedures, and the ability to support project governance through accurate documentation, reporting, and coordination. This role has the option to be hybrid, therefore, the ideal candidate will be able to reliably travel to our Slimbridge office for a minimum of 3 days a week.
If you are a dependable and motivated professional with a passion for delivering high-quality administrative support and helping projects achieve their objectives, we would love to hear from you. Join us and play a key role in supporting impactful conservation projects that make a difference for wetlands, wildlife, and people.
