About The Role
WWT Llanelli is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our Living Collections team on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave and help deliver our mission to restore wetlands, help wildlife thrive and inspire people.
This is a key role within our Living Collection team where you will combine practical skills, animal husbandry and general maintenance to ensure the highest standards.
You will:
- Assist with daily feeds and general animal care duties
- Assist with the general maintenance of the grounds and collection areas
- Be part of a team that has a passion for animals and creating environments people love to visit
This is an annualised hours contract based on an average of 33 hours per week. Salary will be paid in equal monthly amounts. Hours may vary through the seasons. This position will require work at weekends and some bank holidays.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Have strong practical skills
- Be self motivated to carry out a wide variety of tasks
- Full current driving licence
