We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Casual Grounds Assistant at our Arundel Wetland Centre. This role assists in the delivery of a great visitor experience by keeping public areas safe and well maintained, including the Living Collection areas. You will assist in the maintenance of designated areas, be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the grounds and contribute to a safe and inspiring site for visitors. The role will also involve the use of horticultural machinery. The post holder will be required to adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times. This is a casual position where hours are offered on an ad hoc basis. Candidates will need to be willing to work some weekends, bank holidays and during the school holidays.
About You
- a full current driving licence.
- experience of working in visitor services environment.
- experience of maintenance and cleaning duties.
- prior experience of using horticultural machinery such as tractors, strimmers, mowers etc.
- the ability to work independently under general work instructions.
- the ability to adhere to Health and Safety regulations to ensure the safety and welfare of colleagues and visitors.
