We're looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join Wildflower Shawlands, formerly Pied Piper Nursery, on a 12-month maternity cover contract, as we continue our exciting journey as Wildflower Nurseries & Preschool.
What you'll be doing
Every child is different, and that's what makes Early Years so brilliant. You'll play an important role in creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, curious and excited to learn.
You'll be:

Creating a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels safe, secure and valued

Planning and delivering engaging activities that reflect children's interests, development and individual needs

Building strong relationships with children and their families

Supporting children's care, wellbeing and day-to-day routines

Getting involved in everything from messy and sensory play to songs, stories, creative activities and outdoor adventures

Observing children's development and using what you see to help shape their learning and next steps

Encouraging children's confidence, independence and curiosity

Working closely with your room team to create a calm, happy and positive environment

Following our safeguarding and wellbeing procedures to make sure every child is safe and supported
Most importantly, you'll be someone who gets that the little things really matter. Getting down on their level, celebrating their latest achievement, helping them through a tricky moment or simply making them laugh.
