Position Overview: Senior Children's Residential Support Worker responsible for leading shift, mentoring staff, and supporting children in residential care at Wilderness Way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead from the front as shift lead, mentoring, coaching and inspiring the team.
- Act as problem-solver, motivator, and role model for children in your care.
- Forge deep connections with multidisciplinary teams to craft unique, child-centric care plans.
- Assist with homework, facilitate outdoor activities, and provide a stable presence for children.
- Mentor and develop new support workers during induction and the six-month welcome program.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) achieved.
- Experience working with children in residential care or similar settings.
