Who is Wilderness? Wilderness is a New Zealand–owned family business that’s been at the forefront of tourism for over 20 years. We rent premium motorhomes to both locals and international visitors, and we’re also the exclusive New Zealand distributor for some of Germany’s top motorhome brands. We’re here to help our customers create unforgettable journeys across Aotearoa in beautifully crafted European motorhomes. But it’s not just about the vehicles—it’s about the experience we deliver, which our glowing reviews speak volumes about. As our business continues to grow and set new standards in premium travel, there’s never been a better time to join the Wilderness team.

What will you do? In this role, you aren’t just rolling out features; you’re the bridge between big-picture goals and the everyday tools that make them happen. You will:

  • Drive Real Change: Ensure our tech doesn’t just sit on a shelf. You’ll be on the ground, embedding new ways of working and making sure every feature and system serves a purpose.
  • Empower the Team: Act as the go-to expert who simplifies the complex, helping everyone at Wilderness work smarter, not harder.

What we need from you:

  • Systems Implementation Expert: 4+ years of experience launching digital tools and ensuring they are actually adopted by the team.
  • Tech‑Savvy Problem Solver: Hands‑on skill with CRMs, cloud‑based tools, and building low‑code/no‑code automations.
  • Empathetic Communicator: A background in customer‑facing roles, with the ability to translate "tech‑speak" into simple, user‑friendly guides.
  • Strategic Systems Thinker: Someone who understands how people, processes, and tech intersect to create practical workflows.
  • Meticulous Finisher: A detail‑oriented professional who excels at documentation and following tasks through to 100% completion.
  • Impact Driven: A proactive learner motivated by sustainability, social impact, and making work life better for everyone.
  • Ability to drive large vehicles e.g. motorhomes.
  • Permanent legal entitlement to work in NZ.
