Raise Education Trust is looking for a Senior Duty Manager to cover Wildern Leisure Centre and Deer Park Sports Centre. You will have a drive for success, a passion for excellent service and a desire to work in a stimulating organisation. You will possess excellent communication skills and have the skill, drive and determination to support the development of the Leisure Centre and ensure that our facilities run smoothly.

We are looking for a Senior Duty Manager who is keen to take the operational lead for the Leisure Centre, who is a natural leader who enjoys working with the public and possesses excellent customer service skills and has a keen eye for detail and the enthusiasm and stamina to deliver results.

Wildern Leisure Centre is a co-located centre at the heart of the community of Hedge End, West End and Botley and surrounding areas. The Centre is a busy hub of activity with the potential to grow further. We have recently fully refurbished the Fitness Suite which is supported further by a 25m Swimming Pool, Learner Pool, Sports Hall, Gymnasium, Multi-Use Hall/Studio, Astro-turf, 3g, Tennis Courts and Grass Football pitches. These facilities are supported by separate wet and dry side changing areas.

Deer Park Sports Centre is a dry-side site which supports the Uplands development and is located in Botley just 2 miles from Wildern Leisure Centre. With a fantastic array of new facilities such as; Full size FIFA approved floodlit 3g pitch, three floodlit tennis & netball courts, four court sports hall, exercise studio and grass pitches. This has allowed us to attract and host some wonderful local adult and junior clubs that help to create a lovely ambience in a beautiful setting.

Essential Qualities:

  • NPLQ
  • Good understanding of the leisure industry
  • Leisure Supervision/Management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the leisure industry
  • Flexibility and commitment

Desirable Qualities:

  • Fitness Instructor Level 2
  • Pool Plant Operation
  • Swim Teaching L1/2
  • A recognised qualification in Leisure Management or NVQ Level 3
