At Staycity Group, we bring together two leading aparthotel brands - Staycity Aparthotels and Wilde Aparthotels - united by a shared commitment to modern, flexible hospitality. Across our properties and support teams, our goal is simple: to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests and create an environment where our people can do their best work. Whether you're joining our operations or head office teams, you'll be part of a fast-growing European hospitality group built on our values of curiosity, drive, collaboration, kindness, and respect. We're a diverse and inclusive team that encourages you to bring your unique self to work - because we believe great hospitality starts with people who feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.

Role: Staycity is embedding AI into the daily work of every department, and this role makes that real. You will be our in-house expert and evangelist for the newest AI tools - Claude, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, ChatGPT, Codex and agentic workflows - getting them genuinely and well used across the business. Rather than automating a single desk, you will go into teams - Revenue, Finance, Reservations, Sales, Marketing and Operations - map how they work, identify where AI can radically streamline what they do, build the solutions with them, and teach them to fly. The role balances three things in roughly equal measure: technical building, process mapping, and enablement. A software-development background is a real asset - the stronger your engineering skills, the better - and you should be able to design and deploy real solutions independently (MCP servers, connectors, plugins, custom GPTs and reusable skills), drawing on the web engineering team only for larger or more sensitive builds. We would be equally glad to hear from a software engineer with a deep interest in AI-enabled technology as from an AI-savvy specialist who codes.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Annual Bonus, based on performance and impact
  • Paid Maternity, Surrogacy, Adoptive & Paternity leave
  • Employer Contributed Pension
  • 25 days annual leave plus Good Friday and Christmas Eve
  • Hybrid working: 3 Days office & 2 days home
  • Flexible working hours
  • Work from abroad policy (max 2 weeks per year)
  • Health and Dental Insurance
  • Role-relevant higher-education expenses, including tuition and books
  • 2 paid volunteer days with registered charities
  • Employee Assistance Program: Support for you and your family when you need it
  • Staff rates: From / 30 per night - Overnight stays for you and your family and friends
  • Long service rewards
  • Refer and earn scheme
  • TaxSaver commuter scheme

We would love you to have:

  • A background in software development with a passion for AI, automation, and emerging technologies, or experience driving AI adoption and digital transformation across business functions.
  • Experience identifying, mapping, and improving business processes, with a track record of delivering practical, technology driven solutions.
  • Hands on experience using modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and agentic AI workflows.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as PHP, Python, or similar, with confidence writing, adapting, and deploying code.
  • Experience building integrations, MCP servers, connectors, plugins, or AI skills, with the ability to independently develop AI powered solutions.
  • A good understanding of APIs, Git, and version control, with exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD, Microsoft 365, or automation tools such as Power Automate, Zapier, Make, or n8n considered an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting ideas and influencing colleagues at all levels.
  • A collaborative, curious, and proactive mindset, with a genuine enthusiasm for exploring and championing new technologies.
  • A self motivated approach, with the ability to identify opportunities, take ownership, and drive continuous improvement across the business.
  • The ability to balance strong technical capability with commercial awareness, process improvement, and a people focused approach.

What you can do for us:

  • Partner with teams across Revenue, Finance, Reservations, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other business functions to map processes, identify opportunities, and implement AI driven improvements that deliver measurable value.
  • Analyse existing workflows, prioritise automation opportunities based on business impact and ROI, and deliver practical AI solutions from concept through to production.
  • Design, build, and deploy AI powered tools, including MCP servers, connectors, plugins, custom GPTs, reusable AI skills, and automated workflows.
  • Develop and maintain small, scalable software solutions using AI assisted development tools, adapting and writing code in languages such as PHP, Python, or similar.
  • Automate repetitive manual tasks to improve efficiency, productivity, and the overall employee experience.
  • Lead the rollout of AI learning initiatives across the business, delivering engaging workshops and training sessions for colleagues at different levels of AI knowledge.
  • Build a culture of AI adoption by growing and supporting an internal community of AI champions, inspiring teams to embrace new ways of working.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of AI, Engineering, IT, and department leaders to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business priorities.
  • Measure, track, and communicate the impact of AI initiatives, demonstrating clear business outcomes and return on investment.
  • Document solutions, share best practices, and ensure all AI developments align with Staycity's AI governance and technology standards.

How to prepare for a job interview at Wilde

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Wilde uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
