Wilde is one of the largest independently owned consultancies in the UK, with over 100 employees across our offices in London, Stockport and Liverpool. We continue to grow in the North West, with appointments to a range of framework contracts and a diverse portfolio of clients and projects.
We are looking to speak with Highways Engineers with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, working towards professional qualification (Incorporated or Chartered status), and with strong experience delivering detailed highway design on local authority-led and active travel schemes. A strong background in detailed design is essential, along with a working knowledge of DMRB, LTN 1/20 and other relevant design standards. Experience with design software such as Civils 3D and/or MX is desirable.
You will be involved in the preparation of detailed designs, scheme drawings and calculations, along with supporting contract documents and specifications. The role will also include liaison with clients and contractors, project support, and contribution to scheme delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivery of high-quality highway design work (with a strong focus on detailed design)
- Support on active travel and local authority schemes

- Production of contract documents and specifications
- Client and contractor liaison
- Collaboration with other discipline leads to ensure technical integration
We are looking for someone who:

- Can work independently and take ownership of design delivery
