About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Liverpool city centre office for a Principal Bridge Engineer to complement our talented team.
Located just a two-minute walk from Moorfields Station, our contemporary Liverpool offices boast a prime central location with views of the River Mersey.
In this role, you’ll lead on a variety of interesting Highways and Rail structures schemes from concept through to completion, working alongside a team of experienced engineers.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage projects from concept to completion.
- Review and sign off on designs, specifications, and technical reports in accordance with DMRB and design codes.
- Prepare fee proposals.
- Carry out bridge inspections and assessments.
- Liaise with clients and contractors.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Extensive experience in bridge design, assessment, and rehabilitation.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- Proven project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
