About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Liverpool city centre office for an Assistant Bridge Engineer to complement our talented team. Located just a two-minute walk from Moorfields Station, our contemporary Liverpool offices boast a prime central location with views of the River Mersey. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of Highways and Rail structures schemes from concept through to completion, working alongside a team of experienced engineers. You’ll contribute to designs and assessments while developing your technical skills and professional knowledge in a structured, supportive environment. This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across a wide variety of projects, from early feasibility through to project delivery on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in the preparation of calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Assist in structural inspections, assessments, and design work (office-based or remote support).
- Work with DMRB, Eurocodes, and other design standards.
- Engage with clients and team members to help deliver practical engineering solutions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Familiarity with key design standards and codes, including DMRB and MCHW.
- Ability to assist with structural calculations and analysis, design drawings and specifications.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
