Wilde are one of the largest independently owned consultancies in the UK, with over 100 employees in our offices in London, Stockport and Liverpool. We continue to grow in the North West with appointments to many framework contracts and a diverse, exciting portfolio of clients and projects.
We are keen to speak to qualified, chartered or incorporated engineers who are passionate about delivering high-quality design solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for the preparation of feasibility studies, designs, scheme drawings and calculations; preparation of contract documents and specifications. The role will also include project planning, management and monitoring, and liaising with clients and contractors.
A working knowledge of the DMRB, LTN1/20 and other current design standards is essential and use of design software including Civils 3D and/or MX is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Providing a consistent high level technical design service;
- Providing support, training and guidance to other staff;
- Effective client liaison and communication;
- Reporting to the Highways Director;
- Liaising with other discipline team leaders to ensure technical integration;
- Financial and commercial management;
- Experience of working in a highway design office is essential, typically with at least 10 years' practical design experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered or incorporated status;
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic;
- Strong active travel experience;
- Proven experience of working with Local Authorities;
- Capable of operating with minimal supervision;
- Seeking increasing level of responsibility.
