About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineering Technician to join our Stockport civils team. You will play a key role in the production and coordination of high-quality technical drawings and supporting information across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineers, you will contribute to the development of practical and buildable design solutions, ensuring all outputs are accurate, consistent, and compliant with relevant standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Producing accurate and coordinated technical drawings and supporting civil engineering design outputs
  • Assisting engineers in the development and refinement of infrastructure designs
  • Ensuring all drawings and deliverables meet client, statutory authority, and adoptable standards (including Section 278/38, S104 and S106 agreements where applicable)
  • Supporting the delivery of highways, drainage, earthworks, and general civil infrastructure designs
  • Maintaining drawing standards, CAD consistency, and quality control across all project deliverables
  • Liaising with engineers and other technicians to ensure coordinated design information

Qualifications:

  • HNC / HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (essential)
  • Strong practical industry experience may be accepted in place of formal qualifications
  • Broad understanding of UK civil engineering standards and design practices (including highways and drainage guidance) desirable
