You must hold the following certifications:
- STCW Elementary First Aid
- STCW Personal Survival Techniques
- STCW Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting
- STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility
- Short Range VHF Radio
- ENG1 Medical
- Slinger Signaller
- Mechanical knowledge would be given priority
