Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (Dependent on Experience)

The Role

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to security threats to ensure clients' digital assets remain protected. You will work closely with customers, providing expert security advice while ensuring best practices are followed. This is a hybrid role, combining remote work with office-based and client-facing responsibilities in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Threat Analysis & Response: Monitor and analyse security events, detect vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents.
  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct assessments, penetration testing, and collaborate with teams to mitigate risks.
  • Security Policies and Procedures: Advise on cybersecurity policies and compliance, ensuring alignment with GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST.
  • Security Awareness Training: Conduct training to educate employees and clients on security best practices to promote a security-conscious culture.
  • Incident Reporting & Documentation: Maintain thorough records of security incidents, responses, and remediation efforts.
  • Client Collaboration: Work directly with MSP clients to ensure a proactive and cohesive approach to cybersecurity.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • 2-3 years in a cybersecurity role, with a background in threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, and scripting languages.
  • Ability to translate complex security issues for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess risks, document incidents, and develop solutions.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Bonus Skills (Highly Desirable):

  • Cloud security expertise – particularly Azure and some AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, security audits, and risk assessments.
  • Advanced certifications such as CISM or CRISC.
