Reporting to the Head of Partnership Finance, the Royalties-in Manager will be responsible for all licensee reporting for WBCPLG. This will involve managing all local Royalty/Regional Managers/Executives to ensure licensees report accurately and in accordance with contractual terms, invoices are issued on time, collection is actively managed and aged debt is kept under control. Will also manage licensee forecast cycles in conjunction with Partnership Finance and FP&A needs. The role will be systems champion for West End and ensure we optimise efficiency, effectiveness and consistency of processes.
- Manage team of globally distributed Royalties Managers/Executives (currently 10-12)
- Reorganise and optimise existing team as necessary
- System champion for WestEnd royalties/rights management system – optimising use of current state and significantly contributing to any further system development (of this system and any that it interacts with such as CRM and ERP)
- Accountable for accurate and timely processing of all inbound licensee royalty statements
- Accountable for accurate and timely issuing of all invoicing (minimum guarantee, overage, fixed fee, promotional fee etc)
- Accountable for cash collection and managing aged debt levels, including escalation process
- Manage credit check process for new contracts
- Setting and monitoring suitable KPIs for royalty processing team
- Accountable for managing licensee forecast cycles efficiently in conjunction with Partnership Finance and FP&A needs
- Meeting Licensor reporting requirements (such as % royalty statements processed or collection targets)
Qualifications:
- Experience in managing royalties-in previously within a global business
- Confident managing a remote team across different cultures and timezones (UK, various European countries, China and Singapore)
- Experience with systems development (royalties systems such as WestEnd, Jaguar, Counterpoint etc an advantage)
- Independent and autonomous
- Financially literate (does not have to be a qualified accountant)
- Strong attention to detail
- Process-oriented
- Team leadership experience essential
