The Role
As a Senior National Account Manager you will have full P & L ownership of some of our biggest retail accounts while managing and growing relationships with retail partners across the UK. You will drive the growth of Wild in major retail channels, ensuring that our brand is represented in the Wildest way possible while maximising sales opportunities and reducing single‑use plastic. You will work closely with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and product development, to deliver sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Business ownership: Full P & L ownership, making investment decisions, proactively chasing down opportunities and setting the strategic direction for growth of the business. Unlock growth in new exciting categories.
- Relationship management: Management of key relationships with national retailers, creating cross‑functional contacts to ensure we are set up for success. Tailoring national strategic plans, based on retailers’ priorities and strategy.
- Strategic planning & data analytics: Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with business goals. Analyse market trends, EPOS, and competitor data to identify opportunities and optimise performance. Oversee promotional and pricing plans, ensuring these are aligned internally. Review return on investment, tweaking the plans where relevant.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: Work with marketing, logistics, and product teams to execute successful campaigns, ensure product availability, and support new product development. Foresee potential roadblocks and risks through cross‑functional teamwork, finding solutions to mitigate before they arise.
- Forecasting & reporting: Manage sales forecasts, prepare monthly/quarterly business reviews, and track KPIs for performance analysis.
- Leadership & mentorship: Mentor junior team members and lead cross‑functional projects to drive overall brand success.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in account management.
- Proven track record of managing and growing national accounts with major UK retailers.
- Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of retail P & L and category management.
- Experience in contract negotiation and managing complex customer relationships.
- Frequent use of data, forecasting systems, working with EPOS.
- Passion for sustainability and knowledge of eco‑friendly products.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, fast‑paced team.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and sales forecasting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with a focus on results.
- Strategic thinking – ability to think long term, tie to the overall objective of the business and set plans for growth.
- Leadership, fully autonomous to run an account inclusive of full P & L ownership.
