Job Description Are you an educator with a drive to work with young children, a great personality, and a love of the outdoors? Wild Wellies Nursery wants the very best educators here. The job requires you to be: Working with young children as an educator in an outdoor nursery. Responsible for nurture, building relationships, teaching the early years curriculum, creating exciting and meaningful outdoor play experiences, scaffolding learning based on observation and assessment of individual children. All within an ethos of free play and following the interests of the child. Working with a small friendly team to create the best possible experiences and outcomes for the child. Working in partnership with parents to achieve the best for each child. This post would suit a SSSC registered EYE with good experience or a teacher looking to work in an outdoor environment. We need someone who is dedicated to the development of young children, with a bright, cheerful and hardworking personality. They need to be able to make learning fun and adventurous, to spot learning opportunities in everything the child encounters, to be flexible and quick thinking in seeing a learning path. They need to have a warm and kind approach to the children in their care, building them with praise for their efforts and attitudes. We are a well established outdoor nursery catering for preschool and school age children. We only offer a small number of places to give children with us the best possible experience. We like to have a high adult - child ratio for the same reason. We play out doors for the majority of the time but do have indoor spaces so children can be comfortable in really difficult weather.
