We are looking for a skilled sample machinist/experienced seamstress to join our family run business based in Tenterden, Kent. Our company makes luxury, made to measure and bespoke women's evening wear, bridal and special occasion outfits. All items are made from start to finish in our studio in Kent.
We are looking for someone who is competent in garment construction, confident using industrial sewing machinery, and comfortable handling a wide range of fabrics including silks, lace, sequins, velvet, and stretch fabrics to achieve a high-end finish. Hand sewing skills are beneficial for fine finishing details on garments to the highest standards.
Good communication skills will help you work alongside our designers and pattern cutters to create new sample collections and to meet client orders.
Although prior experience is greatly valued, if you have a good general knowledge of sewing and are committed to working and developing your skills further, we are willing to train and teach someone with a dedicated and committed attitude to their work to help you become familiar with luxury garment making and fabrics you are not experienced with.
