Wild Root started as a plant-based café in rural Lancashire and has grown into a food brand focused on clean, homemade food made entirely from real ingredients. Known for preparing vibrant, nourishing meals and a range of cultured and fermented products, our mission is to make healthful eating accessible without compromising on taste or joy. We aim to redefine traditional plant-based food by offering minimally processed, gut-friendly alternatives made from scratch. By 2026, Wild Root products will appear on supermarket shelves, furthering our mission to provide wholesome, plant-based options to more households.
We are looking for a full-time Manufacturing / Technical Manager to join our team at our Halsall location. The manager will oversee the technical production processes, manage team operations, ensure quality control, and support research and development efforts for our plant-based product range. You will play a key role in ensuring that our processes meet the highest standards while aligning with our brand values of clean and plant-based food production.
Qualifications:
- Strong Analytical Skills to assess processes, solve problems, and improve production operations
- Proficiency in Team Management and the ability to lead and mentor production staff
- Experience in Technical Support, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for production-related challenges
- Demonstrated expertise in Research and Development (R&D) for new product lines and enhancing existing ones
- Proficient in Project Management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet timelines and goals
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
