Job Description:
Wild Recruitment is pleased to be partnered with a unique business in their search for a Shipping Coordinator to join their growing team in Portsmouth.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with early finishes on a Friday.
Position Overview: We are looking for someone with experience in a Shipping, Freight, or Logistics position to coordinate end-to-end shipments, liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouses, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end shipments
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouses
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery or documentation issues
- Oversee and implement HMRC compliance changes
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and complete necessary documentation accurately
- Maintain shipping records, update ERP systems, and generate status reports
- Collaborate with procurement, customer service, and operations teams to meet delivery deadlines
- Provide communication and problem-solving support to clients regarding shipment status
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping, or freight-forwarding
- Knowledge of international trade terms, customs processes, and transport documentation
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in logistics software or ERP systems is a plus
