Part-Time (26 hours) Permanent | Busy GP Practice | Portsmouth 12.92 p/h increasing after successful probation period.

We are looking for an experienced, confident Receptionist to join our friendly and fast-paced GP practice. This is a key front-facing role where excellent telephone manner and patient care are at the heart of what you do. You will be the first point of contact for patients, both over the phone and in person, so we are keen to hear from individuals who thrive in busy environments and take pride in delivering a calm, professional service.

This role would suit someone with a solid background in telephone-based customer service who is confident managing high call volumes and handling enquiries with empathy and efficiency.

Working hours (26 hours per week):

  • Monday: Non-working day
  • Tuesday: 13:00 to 18:30
  • Wednesday: 08:00 to 18:30
  • Thursday: 08:00 to 18:00
  • Friday: 08:00 to 14:00

What you will be doing:

  • Managing a busy telephone line, booking appointments and handling patient queries
  • Welcoming patients and supporting the smooth running of reception
  • Working closely with clinicians and the wider team to ensure excellent patient care
  • Keeping accurate records and maintaining confidentiality at all times
