Industrial Paint Sprayer (Wet Paint and Powder Coating) - Havant Temp to Perm Contract Hours - 08:00-16:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:00-15:00 Friday. 37.5 hours per week The Role Working within our Finishing Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring our marine products meet the highest cosmetic and quality standards before reaching our customers.
You'll be involved in both wet paint spraying and powder coating operations, contributing to the production of components.
Key Responsibilities Wet Paint Spraying Prepare aluminium fabrications, acrylic components, motors and gearbox assemblies for painting.
Carry out cleaning, degreasing, sanding and masking activities.
Mix primers, paints and hardeners to specification.
Apply coatings using conventional, HVLP and pressure-fed spray equipment.
Deliver high-quality cosmetic finishes to customer specifications.
Perform quality inspections and finish assessments.
Carry out touch-up and repair work as required.
Monitor coating thickness using DFT gauges.
Ensure paint materials are stored and managed correctly.
Powder Coating Operations Hang and balance components on the conveyor system.
Prepare products ready for coating.
Apply powder coatings to specification.
Carry out colour changeovers and powder recovery procedures.
Inspect finished components to required standards.
Assist with curing oven operations.
Clean and maintain powder coating equipment.
Support preventative maintenance activities.
What We're Looking For Essential Skills Experience Previous experience in industrial wet paint spraying.
Experience painting fabricated metal products or industrial components.
Experience using HVLP or conventional spray equipment.
Ability to achieve high-quality cosmetic finishes.
Strong understanding of paint preparation and surface finishing processes.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
