CMC Milling Machinist in Hampshire

CNC Miller Setter/Programmer/Operator (Hurco) Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Contract: Temp to Perm Location: Havant We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Programmer/Operator to join a well-established precision engineering company. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a skilled machinist with strong Hurco milling experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines. While programming and operating experience are important, the ability to confidently set Hurco machines is the key requirement for this role. Key Responsibilities Setting, programming and operating Hurco CNC milling machines Setting tools, fixtures and work-holding equipment for production runs Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Producing precision components to tight tolerances Editing and modifying programs as required Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections Using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges Ensuring quality standards and production targets are met Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment Essential Requirements Previous experience setting, programming and operating Hurco CNC milling machines Strong machine setting experience, with the ability to work independently Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances Good understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds Competent using inspection and measuring equipment Reliable, self-motivated and quality-focused approach Please note that no terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate on the grounds of a person's gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation.
