We’re recruiting a Commercial Development Executive to join a busy, fast‑paced logistics environment where relationships, pricing and commercial thinking sit at the heart of the role. This is a hands‑on position, well suited to someone who enjoys working closely with customers and operational teams, spotting opportunities and turning them into long‑term business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing and developing customer relationships
- Identifying new business opportunities and following up quotes
- Preparing and checking pricing, including negotiating rates where needed
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Monitoring customer performance, volumes and trends
- Keeping CRM and customer records accurate and up to date
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial colleagues when required
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a commercial, sales or customer‑focused role
- Confidence with pricing, quoting or rate negotiations
- Strong communication skills and a practical, organised approach
- Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, operational environment
- Logistics or freight experience is beneficial, but not essential
