Wild Recruitment is partnering with a leading Aerospace manufacturer to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team in a precision engineering environment.
Contract: Until July 2027
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual machine tools including Jig Bores, lathes, and mills.
- Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Manufacture and rework components to tight tolerances and surface finishes.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges, DTI’s).
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure compliance with design intent and customer requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist / Toolmaker in precision engineering or aerospace.
- Skilled in working with various materials and castings.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards (preferred).
- Competent in using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
