Overview
Wild Recruitment is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer seeking experienced CNC Turning Machinists to join their dynamic team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on precision components for cutting-edge aerospace projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc control systems.
- Interpret and work from complex aerospace engineering drawings and process specifications.
- Manufacture components to tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometres, verniers, bore gauges).
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Accurately complete all production and quality documentation.
- Comply with Health & Safety and AS9100 quality standards.
- Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure compliance with design intent and customer requirements.
- Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience operating CNC lathes in a precision engineering or aerospace environment.
- Ability to programme and edit directly at the machine.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards (preferred).
- Skilled in using precision measuring equipment and maintaining accurate documentation.
- High attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining (preferred). xgikmsk
