Wild Recruitment is seeking experienced CNC Milling Machinists to support precision engineering projects for the aerospace sector.
Contract: Until July 2027
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate 3/4/5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Interpret complex aerospace engineering drawings and process specifications.
- Manufacture components to exact tolerances and surface finishes.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision instruments (micrometres, verniers, bore gauges).
- Maintain machines and tools through routine cleaning and servicing.
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Follow all Health & Safety and Quality Assurance procedures.
- Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure compliance with design intent and customer requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines in aerospace or precision engineering.
- Ability to adjust tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds for optimal performance.
- Strong skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards (preferred).
- Competent in using precision measuring equipment and maintaining accurate records.
- Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and proactive.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining (preferred).
