Young People’s Outreach Mentor (YPOM)
Wild Intervention | Community-Based Outreach & Alternative Provision
Help Young People Re-engage, Grow and Succeed
Are you someone who can build positive relationships, think on your feet and make a genuine difference to a Young Person’s life?
At Wild Intervention, we support Young People who may be struggling with mainstream education, social challenges or other barriers to achieving their potential.
Through Alternative Provision, community-based mentoring and our H.E.A.R.T. outreach programme, we help Young People build confidence, develop independence, improve engagement and achieve meaningful personal goals.
This isn’t a typical classroom or support worker role.
One day you could be supporting a Young Person in the gym, helping them complete educational activities or developing their independence through practical life skills. Another day you could be delivering outdoor activities, supporting community engagement or helping a Young Person overcome barriers to education.
No two days are the same, but our approach remains consistent: relationships come first.

As a Young People’s Outreach Mentor, you will work directly with Young People aged 8 and above, predominantly on a 1:1 basis, with occasional small-group work.
