Bradford Low Carbon Hydrogen (BLCH) is seeking an experienced Capital Project Supervisor to oversee a contractor delivering the installation of a 33kV cable through Bradford. This is a client-side role responsible for ensuring that all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate contractor activities for the 33kV cable installation along a 3.5 km route through Bradford city centre.
- Oversee installation of ducts, connection pits, and associated civil works.
- Manage and monitor complex traffic management arrangements required for street works in a busy urban environment.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, permit conditions, and local authority requirements.
- Act as the onsite client representative, ensuring contractor performance, quality, and safety.
- Liaise with DNOs (Distribution Network Operators), local authorities, and other stakeholders as required.
- Report progress, risks, and issues to the BLCH project team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising 33kV cable laying projects, including ducts and connection pits, in urban street environments.
- Strong experience managing traffic management and complex street works in busy city centre settings.
- Valid street works supervisor tickets.
- Construction qualifications such as EUSR, CITB card, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience working with DNOs and their contractors on high voltage infrastructure projects.
