Position Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Network Lead, the Gas Trainee Operative will assist the Main Layer in carrying out tasks to ensure high-quality service within the gas distribution network.
Gas Trainee Operative Fitter Responsibilities:
- Carry out network work as instructed, including:
- Mains Replacement
- New Service Installations
- District Governor Maintenance
- Dial before you dig
- Mains surveying
- Service disconnections
Health and Safety:
All staff must follow health and safety procedures and policies, including:
- Adhering to IEG standards and procedures
- Identifying and communicating hazards
- Regularly reviewing workplace risks
- Participating in incident investigations
- Undertaking necessary training
- Promoting a safe workplace
- Supporting health and safety initiatives
- Following rehabilitation plans after incidents
