The opportunity

Wilabb Ltd is looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our skilled and established engineering team in Camberley. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. You will be responsible for TIG and MIG welding and fabricating a varied range of components and assemblies, working from engineering drawings and specifications to produce work to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

  • Carrying out high-quality TIG and MIG welding working with stainless, mild steel and aluminium.
  • Fabricating components accurately to engineering specifications.
  • Reading, interpreting and working confidently from engineering drawings.
  • Measuring, marking, cutting and preparing materials.
  • Assembling fabricated components and structures.
  • Ensuring completed work meets the required quality standards and tolerances.
  • Inspecting finished components and identifying any defects or inaccuracies.
  • Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
  • Collaborating with the Directors and wider production team to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

Skills and experience required

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Welder/Fabricator.
  • Strong TIG and MIG welding skills.
  • The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good fabrication, measuring and assembly skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • A practical, methodical and safety-conscious approach.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
  • A reliable and positive attitude.

Experience gained within a precision engineering, sheet-metal, manufacturing or similar environment would be advantageous.
