Wikimedia UK is a registered charity and the official chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation in the United Kingdom. Our mission is to promote and support the growth of free knowledge, particularly through the use of Wikipedia and its sister projects. We believe that everyone should have access to information and that knowledge should be freely shared and collaboratively built.

Founded in 2008, Wikimedia UK works to engage with communities across the UK to enhance the availability of free content. We collaborate with educational institutions, cultural organizations, and other partners to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and resources.
