Production & Logistics Operator

Your Activities

  • Receive, inspect, and book in incoming materials and components.
  • Pick and kit materials for production orders.
  • Conduct stock movements and inventory transactions using the company's ERP system.
  • Perform regular stock counts and cycle counting activities.
  • Ensure correct storage and handling of production materials and parts.
  • Prepare products for shipment, ensuring packaging meets customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Process and coordinate outbound shipping consignments in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Support with Production activities as required by the business need and forecasted production demand.

E. g.

Connector polishing, ultrasonic cleaning, fibre cleaving, splicing and loss measurements, set/adjust specialist Optical Fibre processing equipment, operating pressurised test equipment under supervision, and mechanical / electrical assembly

  • Calibrating and maintaining equipment

Your Profile

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control or ERP systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.

Desirable

  • Experience within aerospace, defence, medical device, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality requirements.
  • Advanced experience and understanding of inventory management systems.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
