POSITION: Post-Secondary Navigator

Under the direct supervision of the Post-Secondary Navigator Lead and the general direction of the Associate Director. The Post-Secondary Navigator provides advice, guidance, and support to post secondary students throughout their educational journey.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to students throughout their post-secondary journey
- Monitor academic progress, address emerging challenges, and promote student independence, self-advocacy, and program completion.
- Maintain sponsorship agreements, education plans, student files, and program records.
- Prepare correspondence, support letters, reports, and statistical summaries.
- Review and monitor applications, enrollment, eligibility, allocations, expenditures, and student participation.
- Explain program policies, requirements, sponsorship options, and funding opportunities.
- Process and approve funding requests, including allowances, tuition, and educational expenses.
- Verify documentation and maintain accurate funding and reimbursement records.
- Participate in outreach, information sessions, orientations, workshops, and graduation activities.
- Build effective partnerships with colleges, universities, training institutions, and funding agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or degree in Education, Social Services, Indigenous Studies, Business Administration, Public
Administration, or a related field. - An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience working with students, community programs, client services, education administration, or
related fields. - Experience administering funding programs, maintaining records, or providing case management
support is considered an asset.
