Wignall’s of Newton Abbot are looking for an experienced, organised and professional Process Administrator to join our team.

This is a varied, people-facing administrative role providing support across three key areas of our business: Human Resources, Health & Safety, and Company Processes & Procedures.

Reporting to the People Manager, you will work closely with managers and team leaders to gather information, prepare and draft documentation, maintain accurate records and provide note-taking support during meetings.

The role would particularly suit someone with strong administrative and document preparation skills who enjoys working with people, following established processes and producing accurate, professional documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with managers and team leaders to gather information and prepare documentation.
  • Preparing employee appraisal forms and attending appraisal meetings as a note-taker.
  • Drafting and formatting HR correspondence, recruitment paperwork and formal meeting documentation.
  • Preparing risk assessments, COSHH assessments and site reports using established templates and information provided by managers.
  • Drafting and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies and procedures.
  • Taking accurate meeting notes and recording agreed actions.
  • Maintaining organised, accurate and confidential records.
  • Providing general administrative support across the business.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or professional support role.
  • Excellent written English, spelling, grammar and document-drafting skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence communicating with managers and colleagues at all levels.
  • The ability to turn conversations, notes and instructions into clear, professional documents.
  • A discreet, reliable and professional approach.
  • The ability to follow established processes and manage competing priorities.

Desirable but Not Essential

Previous experience in a paralegal, legal secretarial, legal administrative or similar professional role would be particularly advantageous, as would experience in HR, Health & Safety or compliance administration.

However, specialist qualifications or experience in these areas are not essential. We are primarily looking for someone with excellent administrative skills, strong written communication and a methodical approach to their work.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to enjoy a varied and rewarding administrative role, supporting different areas of the business within a professional, office-based environment.

If you are a confident, organised administrator who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work, we would welcome your application.
