Come and join one of the Island's leading pub groups. We are looking to recruit for an enthusiastic and motivated General Manager to join our friendly team at The Chequers Inn, one of the largest pubs on the Island, situated in Rookley.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operations.
  • Ensuring the highest levels of customer service at all times.
  • Motivating and training the team.
  • Creating rotas, managing staff hours and ensuring wage percentages are met.
  • Opening/closing the restaurant, ensuring close down is done securely.
  • Working with hotel software and overseeing general day to day operations.
  • Working alongside the head chef and closely with the kitchen team.
  • Overseeing the restaurant's cleanliness to ensure it is of the highest standard.
  • Organising the cleaning schedules and doing spot checks to make sure it is being followed closely.
  • Cost-efficient stock control, ordering and hitting set GPs.
  • Working with the wider company, our Area Manager and other GMs at our other sites.
