We are looking for a qualified Pharmacy Technician to support the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines within the practice. Working closely with GPs, pharmacists, nurses, and administrative staff, you will help optimise patient care and contribute to medicines management activities. The Post Holder will help patients to get the best from their medicines by switching medication to agreed and approved protocols, improving repeat prescribing processes in General Practice, including promotion of repeat dispensing and online ordering, minimising clinical risk and aiming to reduce wasted medicines.

- Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice policies.
- Respond to medication-related queries from patients and healthcare professionals.
- Conduct medication reviews and medicines reconciliation following hospital discharge.
- Maintain accurate patient medication records using SystmOne clinical system.
- Support medication optimisation initiatives.
- Assist with clinical audits relating to prescribing and medicines management.
- Monitor prescribing safety alerts and ensure appropriate action is taken.

Person Specification:
Experience:
- Experience working in Primary Care, community or hospital pharmacy.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

- Previous experience working within a GP Practice or Primary Care Network (PCN).
- Knowledge of SystmOne GP clinical systems.
- Experience conducting medication reviews.
Qualifications:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
